Donald J.S. Brean

Donald Brean is Professor of Finance and Economics at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto and the co-director of the G20 Research Group. He is immediate past director of the Centre d’Études de la France et du Monde Francophone. He holds graduate degrees from the University of Toronto and the London School of Economics. Brean has held academic appointments at Cambridge University, École Supérieure de Commerce Paris, the University of Ulm and Johannes Kepler University.

Hugo Dobson

Hugo Dobson was awarded his PhD from the School of East Asian Studies at the University of Sheffield in 1998. His thesis explored Japan’s participation in United Nations-sponsored peacekeeping operations. He has worked as a research fellow in the International Centre for Comparative Law and Politics at the University of Tokyo (1997-1999) and lecturer in the international relations of East Asia in the Department of Politics and International Relations at the University of Kent (1999-2000).

David Shorr

David Shorr has been a program officer at the Stanley Foundation since 2000. The results of two recent projects led by Shorr have been published as edited volumes. Together with former foundation colleague Michael Schiffer, he co-edited Powers & Principles: International Leadership in a Shrinking World (Lexington Books), in which top experts consider what steps pivotal powers could take to build a stronger rules-based international order.

Yves Tiberghien

Yves Tiberghien (Ph.D. Stanford University, 2002) is an Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of British Columbia. He is also a Faculty Associate at the Center for Chinese Research, at the Center for Japanese Research, and at the Institute for European Studies at UBC, as well as a Research Associate at Science Po Paris and at the Asia Centre (Paris).
